Afghanistan will play India in between tours of Bangladesh

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCCB) confirms Afghanistan's revised tour schedule. One Test match and one Twenty20 match removed, with Afghanistan set to play in India before returning to Bangladesh. Venue approvals expected in the coming days

However, it was recently announced that one Test match and one Twenty20 match had been removed from the schedule. According to the latest reports, Afghanistan made a request to the BCC to play one Test match and then travel to India for a series of matches, and then return to Bangladesh to complete the rest of the tour.

"We were scheduled to play two Tests with Afghanistan, but we eliminated one of the Tests, and now we will play one Test match as well as three One Day matches and two Twenty20 matches. That's the schedule. We are in talks with the Afghanistan Cricket Board, and hopefully, in a day or two, we can approve the venues.

They wanted to go to India after one format. They will play one Test match here, and then they will go to India during Eid al-Adha to play a series of matches, and after their commitment in India is over, they will go back to Bangladesh to play the rest of the series. They (AKK) are very excited to play in India, and after everything was approved, they asked us to play the new schedule. We took their request into consideration, given the Eid al-Adha holiday, so we had no objections," he said.

According to Cricbuzz, the only test match will be from June 10 to 19, after which the visitors will travel to India for a series of white-ball matches. Before the visit to Bangladesh, Afghanistan will travel to Sri Lanka for a short three-match one-day match series.
